Di era sekarang tampaknya game dengan size besar mungkin bukanlah hal baru di mata para gamer, seperti Call of Duty 3 tahun belakangan ini yang memiliki size 100an GB, bahkan game AAA baru saja tak jarang memiliki size sebesar 50 GB keatas, walaupun game-game tersebut memiliki alasan yang jelas terkait size besarnya.

Hal tersebut tampaknya juga diikuti oleh Square Enix dan Eidos Montreal lewat game barunya, Marvel's Guardians of The Galaxy. Melalui akun twitter resminya, Developer dibalik game tersebut mengatakan bahwa Guardians of The Galaxy versi PC nanti akan memiliki size game sebesar 80 GB, yang dimana sebelumnya berukuran jauh lebih besar yaitu 150 GB.

Hey everyone! We wanted to give you an update on the final size of the PC version of the game, which will not be 150 GB. The team is in the last stages of optimizing the final game and we can confirm the file size will be approximately 80 GB at launch.

Selain PC, tim developer juga mengungkapkan size dari Guardians of The Galaxy di PS4/PS5 dan menghimbau pemain dari dua konsol tersebut untuk menyisakan kurang lebih 50 GB untuk menginstal/unduh gamenya saat rilis nanti.

Guardians of The Galaxy akan rilis pada 26 Oktober mendatang di PC , PS4 & PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, dan Nintendo Switch via Cloud Gaming.
